Hair Cuts

I got my hair cut today. I decided to go to a really nice salon and shell out $65 for it. I also basically let the stylist do whatever she wanted (I just told her some basic constraints) and I must say it came out awesome. I kept looking in the mirror today cause I like it so much. Its similar to a style I had years ago but different enough to be comfortable. I don’t want to have the same hair style for too many years.

Tonight we went to see RV at the movie theater. It had some very funny parts but it was mostly just a generic family movie. It was nice for the laughs though and to go to a very empty theater on a Tuesday night. After that we came home and I watched House and SVU. Now I’m just wasting some time before I go to bed. Sometimes the internet can be so boring.

I want to eat everything

It’s been a while. I frequently read a certain online forum. In this forum there is a Pregnancy & Parenting subforum. There is this one person who recently had her first baby and her spelling is abhorrent. I can’t believe some of the stuff she mispells. And she does it repeatedly, so they are not typos. I am saddened that she is reproducing. Cause all the stupid, religious people have lots of kids and the intelligent, non-religious people don’t. Ugh.

In other news, I am hungry. I just want to eat eat eat. I have already had too many calories today and all I can think about are the Odwalla peanut and chocolate bars I have. Argh. I’ve already had 2 today. I guess I just need to go to the store everyday and buy one, otherwise I will eat them all in a few days.

So apparently we should be getting married on June 6th. Nothing major, just basically sign the papers more or less. We picked the date because it is 6/6/06 and Dave is 666 days older than me, so it seems appropriate.

My parents are coming to visit next week. This is good, cause I’ve lived in California for almost 5 years and they’ve never come to visit. Also, they haven’t been further west than Pennsylvania, so they actually get to go somewhere for once. It appears it’ll be raining, which sucks. All it does here is rain and I am getting very sick of it.

Vicodin Rocks

I had a root canal this morning. The procedure wasn’t bad at all as I am very use to dental procedures. When I got home and the novacaine was wearing off the pain got pretty bad so I took some vicodin. Wow! No more pain and I have a slight high. What sucks a bit though, is that vicodin only works well for me if I am really in pain. If I take it for the hell of it I just end up feeling like shit. I am very hungry now and I can’t really eat or drink for a while. If vicodin made me feel like this at any point, I would surely become an addict.

In other news, we bought a recumbent bike. I’ve done at least 30 minutes on it each day for the past 5 days. In addition to that I am working with a personal trainer twice a week and eating pretty healthy, I am feeling pretty good.

I got new glasses too. They are kind of crazy to get used to. I’ve only worn them for about 1 hour so far, but thats cause they give me a headache. I need to slowly work into them. They have a different prescription plus a different lense type, so it takes some extra getting used to. The frame is made by Calvin Klein, so I am very fashionable. I actually like the frame better than my current frames. Here are some photos of the old and new frames, but the colors are not correct.

I think I might go watch Heavenly Creatures since I got the DVD from Netflix. Seems like a good way to waste time while I am high.

I wonder if anyone ever noticed this

When we got our checks printed you had the option to add a phrase right above the signature area. The above is a scan of what we selected. I wonder if anyone ever handling one of our checks noticed it and knew where it came from. If I was a check handler, I would certainly get a kick out of it.

Cleaning

Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen like I’ve never cleaned a kitchen before. I cleaned everything except the inside of the oven, which I think is a battle that can’t be won. Today I will do the same with the bathroom, which shouldn’t be too bad. There was something that smelled not so great in here and though I think I’ve figured out who the culprit was, I just feel like continuing to clean now since I’m not exactly good at keeping up with it.

In other news…

Wow, IE 7 is really unattractive. I downloaded and installed it yesterday, since I am a web developer and though I despise IE, I have to make sure things work with it. Luckily, everything has worked thus far. I guess the only positive thing is the tabs, but wow, I just really don’t like looking at it. The little buttons/icons are ugly. It doesn’t have a File, etc. menu at the top, which I guess maybe Windows is doing away with in Vista, so that could explain it, but geez, I think I’ll definitely be getting another Mac for my next desktop.

I really like Pedro the Lion. I don’t know why it took me so many years to come to this conclusion, but better late than never. I’m listening to all their material I have in iTunes on shuffle right now.

I’m waiting for someone from the local newspaper to call me because she is doing an article on local dog parks and happens to want my opinion. She also mentioned coming to the pug meetup to take photos. That is quite awesome. I also did a phone survey today for $30. Which is very nice.

Crap, it’s February

There are lots of things going on. I’ve been actually going to the gym lately. I feel pretty good about that. I think I have a rogue wisdom tooth coming in. It’s just a little bit late. I almost had to fire someone at work. Gwen has demodex and possibly some sort of pancreatic enzyme defficiency. The vet gave me “the speech” about feeding raw and I just smiled and nodded. So, I should go to bed as its getting late.

New Songs

Last night we finally got off our asses and practiced. We managed to write 2 new songs! That is pretty awesome. Plus, both of them were stuck in my head today, so that means they are catchy. Its very odd when something you wrote gets stuck in your head. Hopefully we’ll play again tonight and maybe even setup the recording equipment so I don’t forget how to play them.

HGTV Dream Home

So, HGTV is giving away a dream home again. You can enter once a day, so I’ve been entering when I remember to. I really, really like the house. The view is incredible. And I figured, well I can’t win if I don’t even enter. It may seem retarded, but I don’t usually enter contests or play the lottery or anything. I guess I wouldn’t mind living in North Carolina, especially since I wouldn’t have to pay rent! Asheville, NC has its own section in craigslist, so it can’t be too small.
